What’s your background?

My background is in the fashion industry.  I graduated with a degree in Fashion Design and worked for 10 years in the industry before I finally decided to take the leap and start my own remote business.  This is a dream that I always had in the back of my mind since taking my first solo trip to Europe at the age of 23,  but never really thought could come to actual fruition.  Through online courses, my project management & design background- and a whole lot of faith, I was able to make the switch and make my remote work dream a reality.

How long have you been working remote and what are you currently working on?

I started working remotely in the summer of 2018.  Right now I’m working with other entrepreneurs supporting them with anything from business management to brand development and design.

Why do you think Tenerife and the Canary island is a good destination for digital nomads?

For me, Tenerife has been an amazing location to come as a digital nomad, checking all of the “boxes” that I typically look for when selecting destinations to work from.  The climate is temperate, costs are reasonable and there is a large nomad community presence growing here.

What is your favorite thing about Nine Coliving?

This is a very difficult question for me to answer because in all honesty, there are so many things that I love about Nine.  When I first arrived, as my very first experience with a coliving arrangement, I was apprehensive and a little bit nervous that I wouldn’t fit in or that I wouldn’t adjust.  But this place is so special, beyond words kind of special.  The community of people here and the space that Anne has created, it really does feel like a family home.  The environment is so inclusive, there is always some excursion or activity to take part in, and for someone like myself who is not as extroverted, this has been so incredible.  The workspace environment has also been another high point for me personally.  It fosters such a productive, focused energy- I have found this to be so encouraging in the progression of my own work.
